This is the first o f a series of Rene Scherer talks _ It was Rene Scherer who took on Gilles Deleuze's students when Deleuze retired in 87. He and Deleuze had been friends for many years, and Scherer weathered many of the battles at Vinceness. Paris v111--- He's emeritus but still gives these amazing lectures and talks. One thing to notice about this one in particular is how he merely mentions in passing Badiou's book 'en passant' he does not say more th an it is interesting ~ a true philosopher and not an asumpter- ie he is not about to assume it's a good book as such_ but something to be examined.
