On average how long does it take to
write a fiction? I mean yours.
About a year, after I finish not revising .
I revise and vise and unvise. I find a version then cut that back and rewrite it, checking to see all the mistakes are left as is.
A year? You are pulling my leg aren't you?
O no I am very serious. Gravely so. It takes months and months of pondering, peering and comparing, then I take them apart one letter at a time. I take all the vowels,for instance and add them all up to see how many there are: when I've done that, then i randomize it,and then substract some, and multiply others.
Then I got to bed and thinkof the world and those I've not met who I love.
